PA/NJ/DE CCIM CHAPTER RECOGNIZES NEW DESIGNEES
CCIM Designation Signifies Expertise in Commercial Real Estate
West Chester PA November 2011 – The PA/NJ/DE CCIM Chapter has recognized 10 chapter members who recently earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute, one of the leading commercial real estate associations in the world.
Awarded the designation at the Institute’s business meetings in Bethesda, Maryland, were Christopher Baj, CCIM, Michael Baxter & Associates; Eli Fried, CCIM, Idis Real Properties; John R. Buccinno, CCIM, NAI Keystone Commercial & Industrial, LLC; Michael J. Katz, CCIM, Rock Commercial Real Estate; Andrew Rubin, CCIM, Herbert Yentis and Company; Frank Palopoli Jr., CCIM, Binswanger; and Michael H. Sell, CCIM, Grant Street Associates.
Awarded the designation at the Institute’s business meetings in Phoenix, Arizona, were Thomas Feely, CCIM; Michael Kushner, CCIM, Omni Realty Group; and Jarrett Laubach, CCIM, Hawley Realty. They were among 346 commercial real estate professionals who passed the CCIM Comprehensive Examination, the final component in the designation process. Only about 6% of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation, which reflects not only the caliber of the program, but why it is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry.
The CCIM designation is awarded upon successful completion of a graduate-level education curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying experience. The curriculum addresses financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis, the cornerstones of commercial investment real estate. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis.
The PA/NJ/DE CCIM Chapter is one of nearly 62 local chapters of the CCIM Institute. The mission of the chapter is to provide quality education programs, networking opportunities, and technology products to its 150 members, as well as to promote the merits of the CCIM designation to prospective members and the business community at large.
Since 1969, the Chicago-based CCIM Institute has conferred the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation to commercial real estate and allied professionals through an extensive curriculum of 200 classroom hours and professional experiential requirements. Currently, there are more than 9,000 CCIMs in 1,000 markets throughout the United States, Canada, and 30 additional countries. Another 7,000 practitioners are pursuing the designation, making the institute the governing body of one of the largest commercial real estate networks in the world. An affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®, the CCIM Institute’s recognized curriculum, powerful technology tools, and networking programs impact and influence the commercial real estate industry.
